			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>It appears that my husband and I may actually now be a lawfully recognized married couple in the grand confines of our own country (well, portion of country)&#8230;not just in our progressive brother to the north.  (Yay Canada!!)</p>
<p>The state Supreme Court has ruled that the state can not deny civil marriage to same-sex couples.  Certainly a time to celebrate, even with the black cloud of a possible Constitutional Amendment overhead.</p>
<p>In typical fashion, columnist Mark Morford gives a very entertaining commentary on the issue:</p>
